Projet Montreal's dedicated team of permanent employees are in charge of the day-to-day operations of the party and ensure service to the membership. Here's our team:

Marie Depelteau-Paquette – Director General

Before she became Director General of Projet Montreal, Marie Depelteau-Paquette worked as a political attaché in the cabinet of the borough mayor of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. She has planned and led numerous electoral campaigns for a variety of political organisations, and she holds a Masters degree in Political Science. She was also a school commissioner at the Montreal school board (CSDM) for over a decade. As a result of her diverse experience, Marie developed analytical skills, a broad comprehension of municipal issues and a steadfast work ethic. Passionate about electoral campaigns, she has chosen to use her skill set to render service to the membership of Projet Montreal.


Sébastien Payeur – Coordinator of local operations

His persuasive, motivated nature, as well as his versatility and knowledge of the community sector, notably working with vulnerable persons were what brought Sébastien on board, first as a liaison officer and now was the coordinator of local operations. He is a graduate of Université Laval's translation program and in social administration from the Université de Montréal. For over 8 years, he has worked towards reducing social inequalities and connecting communities in Montreal. Before joining the Projet Montreal team, he was the Director of an organisation focused on the prevention of homelessness for seniors.

His diverse professional experience has contributed to the development of his skills in organizing and fostering civic engagement. As the former local coordinator of the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough's association, he is familiar with the party's structure and is using his knowledge to further establish Projet Montreal throughout the island of Montreal.


Melanie Hotchkiss – Liaison Officer

Following 10 years in recrutement and organizing of multiple labour unions, Melanie joined the team of the head office of Projet Montreal. She has a degree in Political Science and the School of Community and Public Affairs from Concordia University, where she was politically involved as a student for a number of years. Passionate about public policy, Melanie decided to become a volunteer for Projet Montreal in 2015 as the local coordinator for the Sud-Ouest borough association. Her leadership and organizing skills will be very useful for Projet Montreal! Melanie is responsible for the following boroughs: Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Ville-Marie, the Sud-Ouest, Verdun, LaSalle, Lachine, Ville Saint-Laurent, Pierrefonds-Roxboro and Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève.

Simon Delorme – Liaison Officer 

As a volunteer for Projet Montreal since 2013, Simon has held several positions within the party, including a seat on the Board of Directors of the party before he joined the team at our head office. He holds a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Montreal, and has worked in the public sector and the non-profit sector. His hands-on experience as local coordinator for the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough association, and as a communications officer during elections will contribute greatly in developing and consolidating the party. Simon is responsible for the following boroughs: Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles, Anjou, Saint-Léonard, Montréal-Nord, Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Outremont, Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension, Ahuntsic-Cartierville and Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.


Maude Boutet - Coordinator of events and volunteers

With a background in the arts, Maude completed her degree in Theatre at Université Laval. She has served as a production manager for several theatre companies based in Quebec and in Montreal. She has also worked for a number of years as a member of Théâtre Aux Écuries, an innovative local theatre  located in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough. At this neighborhood theatre, she was in charge of hospitality and coordinating joint mediation projects with local organisation, schools and the community.

As the local coordinator of the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough association for 2 years, she is now responsible for events and volunteers, a role which fits her like a glove!


Jacob Homel - Coordinator of fundraising and technological development

Idealist and a straight shooter, the self-taught Jacob Homel has concentrated his energy in the last ten years to help progressive teams win elections and break the status-quo. Having worked tirelessly on Valerie Plante's leadership campaign, he was recruited by Projet Montreal's team to lead the party's fundraising campaign and to put in place successful political action strategies with the use of technological tools. Jacob has a Bachelors degree in East-Asian studies and a Masters in Public Policy. 


Delphine Vincent – Assistant to the Director General

Multiple interests and an everlasting curiosity have shaped Delphine's motley career path. Holding a bachelors degree in interior design and a certificate in professional writing, her drive and pro-activeness make her stand out. Her exceptional organisational skills allow her to respond to a multitude of challenges with ease. Mindful of getting socially involved and putting her daily efforts to the benefit of an organization that she believes in, Delphine decided to take the plunge and join Projet Montréal. Her dedication and loyalty are a great asset to the team!
