Montreal, May 30, 2017 – Mindy Pollak, Projet Montreal borough councillor in the Claude-Ryan district of Outremont, is one of 250 emerging leaders throughout Canada to take part in the 10th Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, which will be held from June 2nd to the 16th across the country. “This is a great honour for me to be a part of such a prestigious conference, in which I will meet hundreds of people who, like me, wish to bring positive change in their community”, said Mindy Pollak.
Held for the first time in 1983, the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference helps transform young promising leaders into agents of change. Over the course of two weeks, participants will attend conferences and meet with business and community leaders. “Spending time and sharing ideas with young leaders from across the country will be highly stimulating. I am convinced this experience will help me become an even better borough councillor”, added Mindy Pollak.
Mindy Pollak will attend the opening ceremony in Whistler, B.C., and will work on all kinds of issues from Eastern Ontario. The conference will end in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
