Biography of Kamala Jegatheeswaran
Kamala Jegatheeswaran has called Côte des Neiges home since her arrival in Canada more than 20 years ago, and has been an active part of the community ever since.While studying community economy development at Concordia ,her efforts have been included work at an immigrant workers’ centre and volunteering with other organizations and the elderly in many capacities. In addition to raising her son, now a university student Ms Jegatheeswaran also ran a travel agency for 20 years that had become a resource centre for many in the are, she was also a founding members of the uptown Victoria merchants’ association, and represents the group within the CDN-NDG residents’ association.
