The mayor of the Plateau-Mont-Royal Luc Ferrandez confirmed today that the modifications in traffic direction made to Laurier and Christophe-Colomb as of May 14 of this year provided the expected results for the streets that were targeted. The borough is now preparing to correct undesired impacts brought about by these initial modifications in certain neighbouring streets, while at the same time preserving commitment to the securing of Laurier East. In an effort to support Montrealers’ growing interest in urban agriculture, Projet Montréal is joining the Work Group on Urban Agriculture (Groupe de travail sur l’agriculture urbaine, GTAU) to demand a public consultation on the state of urban agriculture in Montréal. Projet Montréal hopes that this consultation will allow for a communal reflection on the potential for urban agriculture in Montréal, and increased support for those already active in urban agriculture.
