Projet Montreal's team in Verdun is very concerned about the lack of universally accessible metro stations in the borough. Neither of the three metro stations in Verdun will be renovated or redesigned to respond to the needs of all of its users. This is unacceptable! Persons with reduced mobility and families deserve better. Sign our petition to demand that the STM integrate the de l'Église metro station to its network of universally accessible stations by 2022.

Petition for universal accessibility - Metro de l'Église

Of the 11 Montreal boroughs with metro access, 31 stations will be equipped with an elevator by 2022 - that is, except for in the borough of Verdun! Elevators allow for persons with reduced mobility and parents with strollers to use the metro. The De l'Église metro station located on a significant commercial artery, close to a hospital, the future Verdun beach (universally accessible) and the auditorium (universally accessible after renovations) is the busiest station in Verdun. We are asking that the STM integrate De L'Église metro to its network of universally accessible stations by 2022. Add your voice to ours by signing our petition!
